The Last Of Us Poster

In our Illustration class, we were asked to design a minimalist poster promoting a movie or TV series using Adobe Illustrator. I chose to do a poster for The Last of Us’ TV show, since none of the posters I had seen for the show featured illustrations. Rather than focus on the protagonists, I wanted to showcase the constant danger they face during the apocalypse–hence why I drew a clicker (one of the different types of zombies). I used my Wacom tablet to draw in the brush strokes and added gradients for shading, topping it all off with a splatter brush stroke around the clicker and a rusted metal overlay to give off more of a fungal texture.
