Canadian Grand Prix Poster

One of the first projects assigned in the Graphic & Web Design program was for our Digital Photo class. We were tasked with designing a poster in Photoshop for an event of our choice, and I opted to make a promotional poster for the Canadian Grand Prix. I wanted to do a poster for an event I’d actually gone to, so I thought Formula 1 was fitting as I went to a qualifying race back in 2017 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. I used several layer masks to isolate the F1 car and aspects of Montreal’s city skyline, as well as motion blurs and outer glows to make the car really stand out.
